Terms of Service
The rules and conditions for using Pams Code Blocks.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Pams Code Blocks and related pages (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who can use the Service
The Service is intended for students and young learners, including those under 17, and for educators supporting instruction. Use by learners under 13 should occur with verifiable consent from a parent/guardian or a school acting as the parent’s agent where permitted by law.
By using the Service, you represent that you are (a) a student using it under appropriate supervision, or (b) an adult (e.g., educator/parent) with authority to supervise such use, and (c) you will comply with applicable laws.
2. Accounts
The editor is designed to work without user accounts. If in the future an account is required for specific features, additional terms will apply and will be presented for acceptance.
3. Your content
- You retain any rights you hold in code, projects, and other materials you create using the editor ("User Content").
- By default, User Content is generated and stored locally in your browser. We do not upload your code to our servers unless you choose to export, share, or otherwise transmit it.
- You are responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights to any materials you import or publish.
4. Web Serial and hardware
- The Service may communicate with your device (e.g., ESP32) using Web Serial APIs in your browser. This communication occurs locally and is not transmitted to our servers.
- You are responsible for the safe use of connected hardware. Do not use the Service to control devices in safety‑ critical or hazardous contexts.
- You consent to grant the browser permission to access connected devices when you click Connect, and you may revoke this permission in your browser settings.
5. Acceptable use
- Do not interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
- Do not attempt to access devices you do not own or have permission to use.
- Do not upload, share, or generate content that is unlawful or infringes others’ rights.
- Do not use the Service for advertising, tracking, or profiling of students.
6. Intellectual property
We own the Service and its content (excluding User Content), including software, design, and branding. These are protected by intellectual property laws. You may use the Service as permitted by these Terms; no other rights are granted.
7. Feedback
If you provide feedback or suggestions, you grant us a non‑exclusive, royalty‑free right to use them to improve the Service without restriction or obligation to you.
8. Third‑party services
The Service may link to third‑party sites or libraries. We are not responsible for their content or practices. Your use of third‑party services is governed by their terms.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. FOR EXAMPLE, WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR‑FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR REVENUE, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR DIRECT DAMAGES WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID (IF ANY) FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 3 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that creates risk of harm to others.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post updates here and revise the effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
